Allison focuses her law practice on probate and trust litigation and administration. She has extensive experience in handling complex and contested matters involving wills, trusts, estates and guardianships. She also represents clients in related appeals.
She was born in Bridgeport, Connecticut, and moved to South Florida during her freshman year of high school where she attended Santaluces Community High School.
Allison graduated with highest honors from the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminology and earned minors in Spanish and French. She then earned a Master of Arts degree in International Business from the University of Florida Warrington College of Business. She then received her Juris Doctor degree from the University of Florida Levin College of Law, where she served as a research editor for the Journal of Law and Public Policy.
Allison began her legal career in 2004 as a staff attorney and law clerk for the Fifteenth Judicial Circuit Court in Palm Beach County, Florida. She then joined Miller & O’Neill, P.L., where she practiced probate and trust litigation. In 2009, she moved to Pankauski Hauser, P.L.L.C., where she continued to handle probate and trust matters until 2018. Allison continued her focused work on probate and trust matters practice at Boyes, Farina & Matwiczyk, P.A. from 2018 to 2023, before joining Barner & Barner, P.A.
Allison is admitted to practice law in the State of Florida, the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida, and the United States Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals. She has achieved the highest peer rating from Martindale-Hubbell, “AV Preeminent”. She is an Emeritus member of the Craig S. Barnard American Inns of Court LIV, the Palm Beach County Bar Association (Co-Chair of Probate CLE Committee 2018-2019 and 2021-2022), and has served as a Co-Chair of the Probate Committee for the annual Palm Beach County Bar’s Bench Bar Conference.
She has also been a speaker at various seminars and conferences on topics related to probate and trust law, such as legislative and case law updates, trends and hot topics, and guardianship law.
Outside of the office, Allison is a mom to her son (an honor roll student and competitive swimmer), and enjoys spending time with her family, jogging, and cooking.
